| Jill entered the PhD program in 2003. Since 2004, she has also been a project manager for the Institute for Governmental Service and Research (IGSR) at the University of Maryland, College Park. She holds an M.A. in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland and a B.A. degree with distinction in psychology, cum laude from Boston College. Jill has experience conducting criminological research at the University of Maryland, the Urban Institute, and the Maryland State Commission on Criminal Sentencing Policy. She also has prior work experience as case manager for youth involved with the Juvenile Justice System in Baltimore City. Her research interests include prisoner reentry, community and crime, juvenile justice and delinquency, sentencing, and quantitative methods. She is currently writing a dissertation, which examines the impact of subjective factors on recidivism among ex-prisoners. |
