| Bianca entered the Ph.D. program at the University of Maryland, College Park in 2005. She received her M.A. in sociology (2004) and B.A. in sociology and psychology (2002) from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Her research interests include crime over the life course, criminological theories, immigration, and research methodology. She is currently working on her dissertation comparing patterns of offending among immigrants and native-born individuals across the life-course. This research draws upon two separate datasets capturing information on immigrants, native-born individuals, and criminal involvement gathered during two important periods of immigration to the U.S. (i.e., early 20th century and present day). |
