| Megan Bears entered the Criminology and Criminal Justice joint Masters/PhD program in 2007 as a Sutherland Fellow. She earned her Bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame in 2006 and spent the following year teaching high school in South Bend, Indiana. In Summer 2009, Megan will earn her Master's Degree and she will continue on with the program in order to earn her PhD. She is currently working as a research and teaching assistant for Dr. Laura Dugan. Her current research projects include using intersectional methods to examine peer influence and unstructured socialing with peers. Her general interests include group delinquency, statistics, violence and victimization and criminological theory. For the Fall 2009/Spring 2010 school year she will be serving as the Graduate Student Representative of the department. |
