Criminology and Criminal Justice (CCJS) is one of the most popular majors in the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences. More than 1000 students are CCJS majors. Required courses include Introduction to Criminal Justice, Introduction to Criminology, Criminal Law, Research Methods, Law Enforcement and Juvenile Delinquency. Majors also take three (3) CCJS electives and one (1) statistics course. Additionally, students complete six (6) Supporting Sequence courses. To complete the supporting sequence, students are allowed to select from a wide range of UM course offerings. More than 130 courses, from more than 20 departments, comprise the Supporting Sequence. Three of the Supporting Sequence courses must be at the 300 level or above. Students must receive a minimum grade of C in all required courses, and maintain a C average in the Supporting Sequence. |
