Sarah is a first year Criminology and Criminal Justice PhD student. She graduated with her BA of History and French Studies from Rice University in 2020 and her MS of Criminology from the University of Pennsylvania in 2022. Sarah's research interests cover a variety of dynamics of violence, from sexual violence to gun violence, as well as illicit markets. Her Master's thesis, titled The Effect of Backpage.com on Female Homicide and Rape - A New Perspective on Online Prostitution Clearinghouses and Violence Against Women, was accepted in May of 2022. She has previously worked as a non-profit project manager and a legal assistant, and she currently works as a TA for CCJS 200 and as a Program Manager for the Center for the Study and Practice of Violence Reduction.
